About

My work is centered around exploring the relationship between materials and the creative process, with a particular focus on the interplay between paper and the artwork. I use delicate, transparent silk paper to create fine wrinkles and sensual narratives that are juxtaposed with thick layers of acrylic paint, flowing colors, broken patterns, and weighty forms. My pieces are eclectic studies that embrace the contrasts and interactions of non-homogeneous and random elements, allowing materials and colors to take on a life of their own. My approach to creation involves a delicate balance of analysis and intuition, where spontaneity, empathy, and playfulness are just as essential as determination.

Silk paper is a recurring element in my works, but I also incorporate other mediums, including acrylic paint, oil pastels, markers, glue, and recycled materials. I enjoy working on glass and canvas surfaces and often experiment with three-dimensional forms to create sculptural pieces that blur the line between two-dimensional artwork and three-dimensional objects.
